When I first surfaced on the political scene in July 2007, a friend told me we needed a "New Day with Marikay". I have taken those words to heart and have treated each and every day as a new day to show Greensboro voters that I can really make a difference just being a "regular citizen".
This has been a true "life experience" and each day has brought me more exciting information, challenges and chances to provide the citizens of Greensboro an option - to vote in a "regular" person who has no hidden agendas.
I hope this blog will be a regular addition to your "menu" and I look forward to discussing any and all concerns and issues with you - now and after the election.
Sincerely,
Marikay Abuzuaiter
